Salon Safety & Infection Control

Learn how to create and maintain a safe and hygienic workspace, whether you’re working from home or in a commercial space. This module includes videos and additional resources and links, to help you understand the fundamentals of salon hygiene.

MODULE 1

Prep of the Nail & E-file Basics

Learn how to correctly and safely prep the natural nail. to maintain strong retention and lasting nail enhancements. This unit also covers how to properly use an E-file to save you time and money. You will find instructional videos and demos to help you understand these techniques.

MODULE 2

Gel Manicures

Learn gel polish application techniques including French polish & nail art, together with safe removal of gel polish. All information is set out in easy steps together with demonstration videos.

MODULE 3

Builder Gel Manicures

Learn how to build a structured manicure, one of the fastest growing trends of 2023. This unit will step you through application, prep & removal with the help of instructional videos and demonstrations.

MODULE 4

Polygel Nail Enhancements

During my 10 year career as a Nail Artist, I have had the opportunity to help and mentor so many new nail artists to grow their skills.

I too was a student many moons ago, and at the time I wished I had more support and mentoring opportunities. I decided to develop courses for students to be able to easily navigate the world of nails and develop their skills to become successful salon owners and nail artists.

Too often I see students signing up to courses online, only to be left unsupported and confused. I truly believe that nail artistry is best learnt hands on, so I have designed these courses to included 1:1 mentoring so that you feel supported in your journey.

These courses are accredited so you will receive a nationally recognised qualification upon completion. As a qualified Trainer/Assessor, I strongly believe that investing in nationally recognised training is the foundation for a successful nail artist.

Frequently Asked Questions
You will have 6 modules to complete within your course. These modules will cover different topics and will include demonstrations, instructional videos, additional resources as well as quizzes to check your knowledge. Each module is easy to follow and set out in order of what you need to learn first. You will have a certain amount of Zoom meetings available to you for your course duration, that you can book whenever you need to have a 1:1 session with your trainer. You can book them weekly, or fortnightly. The course is self-paced so you can complete it as slowly or quickly as you like. Your practical assessment will need to be filmed and submitted.
Your student kit will include all the products you need to complete your entire course and portfolio. You may find that you will still have product to use well after your course is complete, as our kits are very generous. Your kit won’t include equipment such as an e-file or UV lamp, however we will provide you with options to purchase these additional items from our supply company, or you can source your own. We will let you know at the time of enrolment what additional items you will need so you can start right away.
This course is set out in such a way that you don’t need to have any prior knowledge of nails to get started. We cover all the basics that you need to become a nail artist, without having to do a full certificate 3, but with all the benefits and legal requirements of a nationally recognised certificate. Our courses are self-paced so you can complete them when you need, but you will also have 1:1 mentoring with your trainer and many different ways to contact her directly. This is such a great advantage when learning online - think of it like having your own personal coach.
Once you have completed your enrolment, you will receive immediate access to the learning portal, so you can get started right away. You will receive an invitation to our Facebook group shortly after and will have lifetime access to that. Your kit and student workbooks will be sent within 1-3 business days after your enrolment.
Yes you will need to arrange real hands to practice your new skills on. We would suggest that you organise a model from time to time to participate in your Zoom calls.
Yes! Our gel and acrylic courses are accredited units of competency. These are units extracted from the full Cert III in Nail Technology, together with extra components including hygiene & infection control and nail art. Unlike other online courses, this course is accredited and includes 1:1 mentoring so you will feel supported throughout your journey. This course is written, developed and delivered by a qualified Trainer/Assessor, Rhi. You can read more about Rhi and her qualifications in our “About” section.
You can study at your own pace which means you can have it completed as quickly or slowly as you like. This is great for those who work full time or have busy lives. However, if you choose to study full time, you can have this completed in 1-2 months.
